Company DescriptionOur mission is to provide quality community-based services for children and families affected by significant life changes, general mental health and/or developmental delays. In working with children and families,Unlocked Potential's staff utilize an individualized, strengths based, and holistically informed approach.Job DescriptionWe are looking for Licensed Clinicians that hold an LCSW, LPC or LMFT (bilingual is a plus)! Our Clinicians offer “in home” counseling and therapeutic services to help support I/DD youths between the ages of 5 and 21. Common impacts may be due to a variety of reasons such as major life stress, trauma, or lifelong intellectual and developmental delays. Locations: Middlesex County, NJPassaic County, NJBergen County, NJMonmouth County, NJEssex County, NJSomerset County, NJUnion County, NJUnlocked Potential provides clinical support for a range of needs, including emotional and coping strategies, as well as, psychoeducation for families around developmental diagnoses and behavioral modification. As a scheduling consideration, families typically require youth services in the after school hours (3pm-8pm) and on weekends. Minimum of 8 hours per week.Job Specifications and Requirements:Punctually and consistently meet with each assigned child and family each week for the authorized number of hours (typically 2-4 hours per youth) to implement treatment plans which foster adaptive and social skills for the youth while educating and supporting the family around the youth’s needs.Keep and maintain accurate billing and treatment records.Work cooperatively with other identified team members to develop and implement a service plan on the youth’s behalf.Clinical Interventions should include, but are not limited to:Individual and family counselingInstruction in learning adaptive frustration tolerance and expression, including anger managementInstruction in stress reduction techniquesProblem solving skill developmentPsycho-educational services to improve decision making skills to manage behavior and reduce risk behaviorsPositive Behavioral SupportsSocial skills developmentTrauma informed counselingProviding coordinated support with agency staff and participating as part of the clinical teamRecommendations for referrals as needed related to presenting need.
